Gaushala
The Gaushala at Shree Pavapuri Tirth–Jeev Maitridham is built on one belief — Jeev Daya, compassion towards all living beings. What began as a shelter for 100 cows has grown into a large sanctuary spread across 740,000 sq. m. Today, it is home to over 5,500 rescued, abandoned, aged, injured, and homeless cattle, cared for by a dedicated team of 100+ staff. Across 4 Gaushalas, every animal is cared for with dignity, in a safe and nurturing environment in accordance with Jain principles. This case has been at the heart of Pavapuri since it began.
Devotees can take part in this mission of animal welfare through:
- Feeding cows with fresh grass and nutritious ladoos.
- Nourishing young calves through milk feeding.
- Seeking blessings through the darshan of Kamadhenu and Nandi cow.
Gochar Gaushala
Established in 2025, the Gochar Gaushala spans 25 acres of open grasslands, providing cows with a natural environment to graze, roam, and thrive.
The grasslands are cleaned twice a day, ensuring a hygienic and healthy space for the cattle at all times. Various wells across the Gaushala refill automatically, keeping the cows well-hydrated throughout the day. Together, these thoughtful measures reflect Pavapuri’s commitment to compassionate and sustainable animal care.
Veterinary Hospital
Built within the Gaushala in 2021, the Veterinary Hospital provides 24/7 medical care for animals. A dedicated team of veterinarians and caretakers offers treatment, vaccinations, and modern physiotherapy to the animals. In times of need, the hospital also extends emergency support, performing surgeries in consultation with global experts.
