A Noble Contribution By Pavapuri During
Global Corona Outbreak (COVID - 19)

Millions have been affected due to CoronaVirus and major steps have been taken to stop the spread of the infection. One such step was taken by our Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, where he declared total country lockdown for 21 days starting from 24th March 2020. Due to the sudden announcement of the lockdown, people who reside in the rural part of the country couldn't get the essentials required to survive 21 days or more. Therefore, KP Sanghvi along with its charitable trust at Pavapuri, stepped in to offer some help and donated Rs. 7 lakhs to curate 1000 essential kits and distribute among families in need. The Welfare Minister and Trustee of this trust also supported the cause and decided to donate 35 lakhs to make 5000 essential kits. Till 1st May 2020, more than 4000 essential kits have brought a ray of hope to many families living below the poverty line or those in need.

To fight these challenging times and as appealed by our Prime Minister, we opened a fund named PM Cares Fund, to help our society and called out people to be a part of this contribution. KP Sanghvi donated Rs. 1.08 crores, plus Rs. 1.31 lakhs were also given in the fund to distribute food packets to people who reside in Rohida Village in Pindvada Tehsil of Sirohi District.

KP Sanghvi didn't leave their workplace, Surat, as well. They prepared meals in their modern kitchen and offered food packets daily to 8000-10000 migrant workers from 17th April to 17th May. Moreover, under the leadership of Shri Kumarpalbhai V. Shah. Superior Head at Vardhman Seva Kendra Dholka, the migrant workers also enjoyed religious devotional activities.

In addition to this, there was a shortage of ventilator and other few equipment, KP Sanghvi Charitable Trust gave Rs. 5.51 Lakhs to install a ventilator and also arranged 50 water bags for drinking to all Corona positive cases, and provided N95 masks and surgical masks to patients and doctors at the government hospital located at the headquarter of Sirohi District. Whenever an emergency has struck our country KP Sanghvi have always been forward to aid and support the country as well as its citizens and give a tough fight to such pandemics.
